Moab and Potash Road

Rain storm curtailed our rockhounding this a.m.  So we drove along Potash Road to see the Petroglyphs.

Canyonlands NP

Canyonlands is just what it implies - hundreds of canyons.  Most of which you must hike long distances to get to.  My limit is 5 miles, so we did no hiking except to viewpoints.  Charlie was a little more ambitious than I - one of the viewpoints was a short hike but straight up.  You may notice something different about Charlie - the pony tail is gone.

Arches National Park

There are over 2,000 arches - I think we saw 20+.  Most of them require strenuous extended hikes.  My knees don't do strenuous so we did easy to moderate ones.

It is amazing that each of the parks we have done in the Grand Circle has different geology.  Each has been unique and incredible.  Arches is no exception.
